We just had the most amazing trip to Australia and New Zealand with Kathy from New Zealand private tours. Everything was smooth and effortless. From our elegant bed and Breakfast hotels to our amazing guides, we saw and did some amazing and unique things. We were limited on time, but we still wanted to see everything we could fit in our 3 week vacation, Kathy managed it perfectly. In Queenstown she was our guide for the day. It was a beautiful day and she was able to arrange a helicopter ride to Earnslaw Burn at a moments notice.
We spent so much time planning our once in a lifetime vacation, it’s nice to actually meet our travel agent in person. This is why I like to use travel agents that actually live in the country we are visiting. I find locals will know the area better than anyone.

Had the absolute pleasure of dealing with Kathy from NZ Private Tours. From our initial conversation last March (2022) up til our actual Tour (March 2023), Kathy was amazing. I told her where we wanted to go (NZ"s South Island), What we wanted to do at each place & what accommodation we wanted in each place. She organised the whole trip & everything was easy for us. There was even an app on our phone with the itinerary for each day of the tour so we knew what was happening each day.
She even organised a meeting the Friday before our tour, just to go through last minute details.

Celebrating 60 years of marriage demanded a very special vacation. Kathy listened to our requests, interests, and demands and produced an itinerary that exceeded our expectations. From Auckland to Queenstown and Milford Sound we enjoyed a private guided tour of a most beautiful land. But even Paradise has the occasional rainstorm or wind. Kathy was ready to check-mate the weatherman and adjust the plans. Her biggest challenge was managing the news (before we arrived in New Zealand) that my wife had developed a rare allergy called Alpha-Gal, which meant she could not eat meat or dairy products. Kathy alerted every chef on our itinerary, and they were all prepared to meet her dietary issues.

To ask Kathy to help organize our (for two couples around 50) trip to New Zealand was the best decision I could make! She modified my ideas and chose the best itinerary for 13 days in November 2022 to show us highlights from both islands. We appreciated her assistance immediately after we arrived in Auckland when New Zealand Airlines cancelled our flight to Christchurch without notice. In the resulting chaos, Kathy was able to rebook our flight tickets, and she quickly modified the itinerary. Her selection of hotels, trips and transportation was just perfect. She made all the reservations and was always available for assistance.

Where do I start…to say thank you to New Zealand Private Tours (Kathy and Wayne) for the wonderful trip we planned together for my first and (solo) trip to NZ! What started as awhim for me turned into a thrilling adventure throughout the north and the southern islands. From hiking Mt Cook to the geothermal sites to Milford Sound…I experienced the great outdoors as well as the food and wines of the region. Kathy from New Zealand Private Tours planned a two week tour of both islands for us (three adults and one baby). She made all the reservations, booked a great driver, was always available to answer questions or to cancel/reschedule bookings, even last-minute ones. We had the trip of a lifetime!!
